I just had to share something that I noticed in my personal finances. I rechecked the Special Contribution PDF document yesterday (explaining the funding of our new churches in Scotland and Portugal this year) because I had my payday a couple of days ago and when I saw how much Special Contribution I need to give I must confess that my heart sank a little bit. I’m giving this Special Contribution and at the same time I’m trying to save money to be able to move house. I checked my heart knowing this sinking feeling was only a natural reaction and made the payment, for my wife and I, by faith, as I always do.
This evening after my regular Bible Talk I received an email telling me that approximately 12 days ago I was given a pay rise which means that over the few months that I have left in my city, I have will be earning an extra £700. The timing of this pay rise has served to teach me the same lesson that I have learned on numerous occasions when I have felt the pinch of my financial giving. I SIMPLY CAN NEVER EVER OUT-GIVE MY GOD. He has just just refunded me approximately one third of my special contribution for this year in payments over the next few months. I watch my finances for these things carefully. I am therefore glad to tithe from this entire amount and add it to my special contribution this year and for the first time is some years I will give extra to my God.
Thank you Father. Thank you so much. Through this you have built my faith. I SEE YOU God. Thank you for allowing me to see you. Humbly. James.
